''The best teachers are those that show you where to look, but don't tell you what to see" - Alexandra K Trenfor. The teachers, mentors, coaches and leaders that have had the most impact in my life never told me what to look for. They didn't try and give me formulas to make my life easier or strategies to live better. What they did was point me into a direction that would reveal my own power, and because of that I was better able to pick out what I needed from a fundamentally
Our perspective of reality is created by the illusory nature of thought. (Just like the upside down triangle in the picture. There is no triangle. It's just an absence of ink. Our mind creates a perception to make sense of the negative space) Perception is an active, creative process where sensory data is organized and given meaning.
Perspective is a veil. If you are trying to change your perspective, you might only be changing it to a better illusion.

To be human is to embrace the experiences our state of mind creates. We, as a culture, run away from our internal experiences so much that it creates all types of confusion and misunderstandings in all areas of our lives. And misunderstandings are what we suffer. What makes you electrified just thinking of it? What are you scared to talk about because it's so fucking odd, you think others will laugh at you, ridicule you, or tell you it's impossible? What have you told yourself is impossible? What is that single mission that you keep gravitating towards and can't stop thinking about?
You read everything about it.
You spend your spare time immersed in everything you find about this one thing.

Assume and you make an ASS out of U and ME (Ass-u-me). Our personality often wants to assume things about others. That's our ego wanting to fill the need to know. We come up with conclusions about what we hear and we don't realize that it's not the truth. We often miss the possibilities of looking at different angles because we are so busy concluding what we think is absolutely the truth.
This is toxic because it leads us to believe with conviction into a misunderstanding.
